African Violet
Keep in a bright sunny location, but
away from direct sunlight. An east or south facing window is best in the
winter and a western window in the summer.
Water when the surface of the soil is dry to the touch, by
placing the violet in a dish of water. Keep the plant moderately moist
avoiding constantly wet soil.
Mist lightly with tepid water when not in bloom.
Fertilize according to manufacturers instructions. (note:
To many types of violet fertilizers available to give specific
instructions for each one.)
Violets like average warm temperatures,
avoid cold drafts and sudden temperature drops.
Remove all dead blossoms to make room the new ones.
